This pilot program is focused on supporting teachers of Grades 6–8 in subjects like mathematics and science, helping them make learning more engaging and effective for their students.
But what exactly is Khanmigo?
Unlike traditional AI tools, Khanmigo acts like a real-time teaching assistant that supports teachers behind the scenes. It helps educators:
- Plan dynamic lessons
- Build engaging quizzes
- Generate creative classroom hooks
- Deepen student engagement and critical thinking
Through this partnership, teachers will receive tailored support in both English and Urdu, with built-in prompts that guide lesson development, spark ideas, and personalize instruction. School leaders at TCF are also receiving training on how to effectively integrate Khanmigo into their classrooms—ensuring that the technology becomes a tool for empowerment, not a distraction.
“Khanmigo aims to give every child in Pakistan access to world-class education,” said Zeeshan Hasan, CEO of Khan Academy Pakistan. “By empowering teachers, we are ensuring that AI becomes a thinking partner that uplifts educators and strengthens the classroom experience.”
In a country where access to quality education and trained teachers remains a challenge, AI can be part of a scalable and affordable solution. By supporting TCF teachers with Khanmigo, we hope to enhance their teaching methods and create more engaging and meaningful learning environments for students.
This is just the beginning.
As the pilot continues, we look forward to exploring how AI-powered tools like Khanmigo can be scaled to support more teachers across Pakistan – making quality education more accessible, one classroom at a time.
